New Blog Header.....
thanks,
OH me OH my!!
The kids are growing like weeds, poor Amanda this morning told me "these pants are too big", well unfortunately anything else you own is too small, so roll up those cuffs on those pants and pull those button tabs tight my dear!! She has grown so much since school started, up and out!! She is starting to look more and more like her mother (who passed away when she was 9 mths old if you didn't know already), we always thought she would be built like her dad but she is starting to have her mom's build!! (Her mum was beautiful by the way).
Matt, well Matt is "my mattmatt" I love the kid!!! (I love all my kids) right now he is giving us a run for our money, saying and doing things quite out of character for him, growing pains I am sure, the poor boy has two sisters that just run him over and over and he lets them........to a point and when he reaches that point oh look out house!! He has been known to hit "o'sister of mine" over the head with a very hard plastic guitar, he has been known to slap "o'other sister of mine" in the face....oh me oh my, but sometimes I know how the kid feels I really do!!! It is very hard sometimes for me to punish him because well because I know he tolerates the girls and when he loses it, it is because the girls have pushed and pushed and pushed one too many times...........
Lexie is Lexie, my minnie-me!! As my mum said it is like having a little Tania all over again, "tude" and all!! Lexie knows what she wants and she is NOT afraid to tell you her opinion, if she thinks something isn't the way it should be she will tell you, I am pretty sure she will be the next women president!! The one thing Miss Lexie does is talk to anyone and everyone about anything......from "I like your dress" to "OH, can I pat your dog" to "Your little baby is cute", this is the area that she is going to give me a heart attack!! In part she gets this from me as I have always given compliments easily to people and I have been known to have a ten minute conversation with a complete stranger in the line at the grocery store over nothing...........
They really are great kids, they are, really!!! Yes, sometimes do I want to wring their little necks and give them to the gypsies with "taken as is, no refunds", but in the end I would miss them all terribly..............................................I would, really!!

Hand me downs!
The new school year is approaching and approaching fast, I still need to get my kids everything from the basics, underwear, socks to the not so basics, pants, shirts, shoes…..Matt will get everything new, Amanda will get everything new, Lexie, well Lexie will NOT get everything new, and this makes me wonder how this will affect her self-esteem/self confidence thru out her life. Yes, I tend to worry about ten years from now as well as right now!
Am I being cheap by giving her hand me downs from her sister? We do get hand me downs from other people outside our family so it isn’t like the other two don’t get hand me downs as some point. My point is that when Lexie starts school all she will really need to get is underwear/undershirts and socks the rest will come down from Amanda. So when Lexie goes to school thinking she is looking like queen bee and someone comes up to her and says “wasn’t that your sisters” or “you are wearing your sisters cloths” what is she to do? How is that going to make her feel? This is a child that has more self confidence and self esteem then any child I know or any girl friend that I have and I DO NOT want to ruin that part of her character! But I also don’t see the need to go out and blow 100.00 on cloths for her when at home she has cloths that are plenty good enough for school.
Any ass-vice on this subject out there? Please feel free to give me any ass-vice! And yes I am cheap!! uuum on a budget!!

And how was your national night out?

go in firetrucks, police cars, the city dump truck, the city bus and they got to plunk their cute little ars's in the same ambulance that their Mumma got to take to the hospital in March!! They thought this was just super fantastic!! I on the other hand did not find as much humor in it........LOL!
They also got their national ID's done thru the local Mason's, so now if we lose one of them they will be easily found!!**
It was nice to get out and do something after work and rec camp as a family that didn't cost money and something that all three kids enjoyed and didn't behave like heathens at!! Heathens you ask? Well my dear folks, finding something that three children 5,6 and 7 all like and enjoy is somewhat of a undertaking these days!!!
Matt says he is going to be a firefighter when he grows up (see above, I never know where the damn picture will end up in blogger,,,,,errrrrr)
I think he would make a fantastic firefighter!!!!!!!!!
**unless of course we sell them to the gypsys!**
